A board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Deschamps specializes in laser vision correction, diseases and surgery of the eye, including small-incision cataract surgery with intraocular lens implants.  Dr. Deschamps has been performing refractive procedures for over 20 years.

Dr. Deschamps is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis where he finished his residency training in 1980.  He completed his medical internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago.  In addition to serving as a fellow and member of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Deschamps also is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and an officer and member of the Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology.  He maintains additional memberships with the International Society of Refractive Surgery, American College of Eye Surgeons, and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
